Audio/Visual Operator

Schedule: weekly

Day: Sundays

Time: 9:30am - 11:45am

Interests: helping with production of service

Qualifications: knows or is able to learn technical items, has an eye for detail and visual excellence

Description:

• Come early to make sure that the LCD projector, computer, etc. are set up and working properly
• Run through the slide shows, with music, in advance
• Have the screensaver slides showing as people enter the meeting room
• Make sure that worship music is also playing as people begin arriving
• Make sure worship leader is ready and ask if there are any last-minute changes
• Turn the projector off (fan is noisy) once it is finished being used and before the sermon
• Run the slide shows during praise and worship
• Run the slide show for the sermon (if applicable)
• Make note of any typos on slides and correct them (before service if possible)
• Have worship music playing again when meeting is officially closed, even if prayer is going on
• Shut down projector and computer when finished and store them carefully in proper storage for transport

Ushers

Schedule: weekly

Day: Sundays

Time: 9:30am - 11:45am

Interests: serving & helping with meetings

Qualifications: faithful, attentive to people and details, trustworthy with money

Description:

• Have one usher stationed at the door of the meeting room to greet people as they enter
• The other usher helps people find seats (try to get people to fill the front rows first)
• Both ushers pass out baskets during offering, covering as many rows as quickly as possible but waiting until people are ready with their offerings and/or connection cards
• Tally headcount, including children, near the end of worship and record on attendance form (include everyone, even people serving in other rooms)
• Process and secure the tithes & offerings
• Be available to answer questions and direct people at the end of service
• Help the pastor to politely escort people to the lounge area so take-down & clean-up crews can start right away
